Substance Use Disorder Services

The Thurston County Chemical Dependency Program coordinates services for Thurston and Mason County residents who are chemically dependent. Services are available to low income individuals and persons with no income who receive state entitlements (i.e., medical coupons, SSI, etc.). Sliding fee scales may apply based on income.

The Chemical Dependency Program contracts with licensed chemical dependency agencies for outpatient services, detoxification, involuntary commitment, intensive case management, and methadone.

The Green Book, Directory of Certified Chemical Dependency Services

The directory is primarily a listing of chemical dependency service providers certified by the Washington State Behavioral health and Service Integration Administration (BHSIA), Division of Behavioral health and Recovery (DBHR). Agencies are listed alphabetically within each county. The index at the back of the agencies section provides an alphabetical listing of all certified agencies statewide.

ADATSA Treatment Services

The ADATSA program for state-funded chemical dependency treatment ended on December 31, 2013. Clients currently receiving ADATSA will be automatically converted to Apple Health as "newly eligible." They will be notified of this change in writing from their DSHS Community Services Office (CSO) during October and November of 2013. Providers are encouraged to notify current ADATSA clients of the pending change.

If you are seeking treatment, and don't have insurance or coverage at this time, or need coverage for treatment, please go to: http://www.wahealthplanfinder.org to apply or you can call 1-855-WAFINDER (1-855-923-4633).
